MM2H (Malaysia My Second Home) is a Malaysian government long-stay programme. Malaysia Connect summarises published category requirements and guides clients through authorised-agent pathways; we do not issue visas.
Categories
Main applicants must generally be at least 25 years old (21 for Special Economic Zone). All applications must go through an authorised MM2H agent. Listed fees are subject to 8% SST unless noted otherwise by authority updates.
Immigration processing fee (brochure): principal RM 5,000 / dependant RM 2,500 (one-off). Properties must meet state minimum prices and MM2H requirements; they cannot be sold for 10 years but may be upgraded.
Special Economic Zone
SEZ offers a 10-year renewable visa with lower deposit thresholds, age bands, and property purchase directly from a developer subject to state land policy.
SEZ renewal fee in brochure materials: RM 300.
Shared conditions
Spouse; unmarried children (visa up to 34; single / not working in Malaysia); disabled children (no age limit with medical certification); parents and parents-in-law.
Minimum 90 days per year, accumulated by either the principal or dependants.
Up to 50% partial withdrawal allowed for property purchase, medical, children’s education, or tourism expenses in Malaysia.
Not allowed to engage in business, investment, or employment under MM2H materials.
Medical checkup required; medical insurance required.
After visa duration ends, renewals every 5 years typically need passport, medical report, and insurance.
